| Literacy | We are innovating the traditional story of ‘Anansi the Spider’ changing the problem and resolution. In our writing we will be learning to use time conjunctions and command sentences. |

We will be using our number bonds to ten to help us with our number bonds to 100. We will then use this knowledge to help use with addition and subtraction calculations within 100 |

Science |
Over the next few weeks we will be learning about what animals and humans need to survive. We will be starting off by looking at the life cycle of a frog. |
| Foundation subjects | Linked to our topic of World Explorers we will be continuing to look at rainforests in geography taking a closer look at where we find them on a globe. In Art we will making African patterns in different media. Our P.E. will comprise of ball skills using our feet and a in dance we will be setting off on a voyage of discovery |

We also believe in listening to your children and responding to their interests and ideas therefore all our planning is flexible.
